The Exhibit displaying Costumes, maps and artifacts was held at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House in Albuquerque’s South Valley over a period of six months in the first half of 2019.
A mini-conference was held in May 2019 at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House where speakers presented stories, specifics on DNA & Genealogy, and details about the past/current/potential future legal status of Genizaros.
The Matachina Danzantes and the Musicians attended the Exhibit and shared their music and spiritual heritage in a special performance of the traditional rituals from the Fiestas celebrated in the East Mountain New Mexico communities where they live.
